Understanding plant based living as a place from which we begin breaking down oppression as it exists inside and outside of us.

Join us on Saturday, June 29th at 4PM at The Arc (1901 Mississippi Ave SE, DC).

This is a panel discussion to spotlight black, brown, and indigenous lived experiences. Our panelists include Danni McGhee of DAM Good Vegan and DC Vegans of Color, Starr Carrington, the Black Feminist Vegan, Jamila Alfred, the Soulful Veganista, Victor Ferguson, creator of Optimal Wellness Community LLC (OWC), and Ajani Simmons of DC Vegans of Color.

Come out and be ready to engage, have discussions, eat food, and build solutions in community ! Food will be provided for free by Chili’s on Wheels DC. In order to reduce waste, we ask that everyone bring their own water bottle, utensils and dishes for food, if possible.
There will be ASL interpretation and free childcare.
At the end of the event, participants can take home with them free produce.

This event is also in partnership with Veggie Mijxs DC.

There is limited parking on site, available on a first come first serve basis. The location is a 10 minute walk from both the Southern Avenue Metro, and Congress Heights Metro, and the W2 bus drops off in front of the building.

This is a zero-tolerance space for ableism, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ageism, speciesism, xenophobia, islamophobia, white saviorism, or any combination of the above.
